Another drink from Avery Glasser's time at Amor y Amargo.
This drink is Avery's correction of a drink that he never thought made sense: the Seelbach. Bourbon and Champagne just don't really go together, regardless of how much bitters you add. Bourbon and beer, that's a much better combination. Taking a classic Boilermaker as inspiration, he came up with the Boiler-Bach.
Listed as one of Tasting Table's best cocktails of 2011.
In a fluted Pilsner glass, add the Amere Nouvelle and bitters. Fill the glass about two inches from the top with Pilsner. Pour bourbon into a shot glass. Drop the shot glass into the Pilsner glass in front of the customer.
