Batch 2: Bottled and ready for sale on August 24!

Bittermens wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the support we’ve received from bars and bartenders worldwide.

We would like to take a moment to thank some of the key people who helped us get started:

  • Arne Hillesland of Distillery 209, without whom we never would have made our first batch of bitters
  • Craig Berold and Joselino Solis, the inspiration to select mole as our first flavor
  • Dominic Venegas, Thomas Waugh, Carlos Yturria, Scott Baird, Jeff Hollinger and Jonny Raglin for being our guinea pigs on the initial batch of mole and encouraging us to pursue bringing it to market
  • Phil Ward for asking if we could make a Grapefruit bitter
  • Brian Miller for being inspiration behind the ‘Elemakule Tiki Bitters
  • Jackson Cannon for the logistical support he provided
  • Kevin Martin, Robert McCoy, Nicole Lebedevitch and the team at Eastern Standard for being a constant source of feedback during our product development process
  • Angus Winchester for bringing the Grapefruit Bitters to the attention of the Tanqueray Guild
  • Adam Lantheaume for the retail support you have given since we first launched in 2009

We’d also like to thank:

Cabell Tomlinson, Katie Stipe, Kirk Estopinal, Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli, Carrie Cole, Joaquin Simo, Alex Day, Sam Ross, Michael McIlroy, Tony Conigliaro, Ago Perrone, Erik Lorincz, Eric Seed, Mayur Subbarao, Greg Lindgren, Jon Gasparini, Alon and Rachel Munzer, Liza Weisstuch, Ravi DeRossi, Dave Kaplan, Sasha Petraske and Jon Santer

Barbacks for Business

Do you need help crafting your marketing messages, managing your online presence or handling regular administrative tasks? Bittermens now offers a Barbacks for Business service for bartenders, bars and other cocktail industry insiders.

Non-Potable is a Good Thing

All of our bitters have been classified by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau's Non Beverage Product Laboratory as non-potable flavorings. Why is this important? It means that since they are not considered "beverage alcohol", our bitters can be shipped to any state without restriction.

Meet Team Bittermens
